How To Give A PresentationSo you’ve studied the product labels, you know the compensation plan like the back of your hand, and you’ve know everything under the sun about your company. But do you sound like you do?

In this day and age, people move fast and life moves even faster. We have fast food, high speed internet, microwaves, smart phones, and on-demand. People are living longer but their attention spans are getting shorter. Much shorter.

The majority of the time when you’re prospecting, you only have a short window to share your business and if you don’t know how to give a presentation in 60 seconds or less, you’re losing money.

Learn How To Give A Presentation Effectively

Being able to give an effective business presentation is a skill and an asset that will benefit you for years to come. The problem is that most home business owners and network marketers don’t know the first thing about how to give a presentation – much less how to give a presentation effectively.

Before we dive into how to give a presentation in only 60 seconds, I want share some presentation tips for when you’re presenting to a larger group of people.

Tip 1: When giving presentations, exude confidence.

Tip 2: Speak loudly, but clearly.

Tip 3: Don’t use fillers such as “uh” or “um”.

Tip 4: Never stand in one spot for too long.

Tip 5: Be Dynamic with your volume and your tone of voice.

Tip 6: Share stories, including yours. Remember, facts tell but stories sell.

Tip 7: Be prepared in advance and practice at home.

These are just some of the simple steps you can take if you’ve never presented or have always wanted to know how to give a presentation in front of a group of people.

How To Give A Presentation In Only 60 Seconds

Many of us have heard the term “elevator pitch” but I’m sure there are some that don’t really know what it means. An elevator pitch is what many sales leaders call their 60-second presentation – or 1 minute presentation. Many times, 60 seconds is all you have to capture and hold someone’s attention.

When you’re at a party or a gathering or maybe even at work and you’re sharing your business opportunity or products, you won’t have time to pull out the flip chart or the power point. Many times when you do this, you actually wind up setting off the dreaded salesman alarm and once you do that, your done. Dead meat. Road kill. You can forget about it.

How To Give A Presentation In One Minute(By the way, I also recommend that even if you know how to give a presentation in 60 seconds that you not so unless you’re asked first. One of my mentors, Tom “Big Al” Schreiter, says that if you want to learn how to give a presentation…a full blown business presentation about your product or opportunity…then are are 3 main questions that need to be answered in order for your prospect to make an informed decision.

Those 3 questions your prospects need answered are:

1. What kind of business are you in?

2. How much money can I make?

3. What do I have to do in order to earn that money?

Keep in mind that most people don’t care about your product, service, the founders, the compensation plan, the ingredients on the label, or even how much money you’ve made. What your prospects want to know is what’s in it for THEM!

Here’s an example how to give a presentation in only 60 seconds:

“Well John, if you’d like to make an extra $1000 a month on the side, then there are only 3 things you’re going to have to do. Number one, don’t change. Keep on recommending and promoting things that you like – such as movies, restaurants, and cheap places to get gas – just like you always have. Keep on recommending and promoting…don’t change. Secondly, I’m a part of a community of folks that have decided to develop themselves personally and live their best life now. We offer an online membership that centers primarily on personal development and raising up leaders to impact their community. All you have to do is find 4 people, just like you, that want to make a difference in themselves and in the lives others and join our community. And third, between you and everybody you talk to, and everybody they talk to, and everybody they talk to, you will have had hundreds of people join our community and then you’ll earn an extra $1000 per month…or more!”

So again, you may know your company, your products, and your compensation plan – but having the information isn’t the same as learning how to give a presentation effectively in only 1 minute or less.

Learn how to give a presentation in only 60 seconds and answer these 3 basic questions, and you’ll be well on your way to turning 60 seconds into a lifetime of success!
