How To Handle Objections In Network MarketingFor many new network marketers, there’s an excitement and a kind of magic that happens when we have our ‘aha’ moment about the industry. We see the light at the end of the tunnel; an answer to prayers; an opportunity to stop warehousing our kids to daycare; a way to finally stop struggling and start living.

But here’s the cold hard truth (and I’m not going to sugarcoat it):

This can be a brutal industry and if we don’t learn how to handle objections in Network Marketing and our MLM business, then we are doomed to fail.

Period.

My prayer is that this post will help anyone that is struggling in their business.

What’s The Right Way To Handle Objections In Network Marketing?

I see people all over Facebook, on videos, on blogs, and pretty much anywhere online and offline trying to teach people what they feel is the best way to handle objections in their MLM business. One of the methods that is taught is called ‘Feel, Felt, Found’.

Here’s how it works:

Imagine you’re standing in front of a prospect and you’ve just shared your opportunity with them and at the end of the presentation they say one of the following:

“Well, I don’t really have the money.”
“This looks like one of those pyramid schemes.”
“I don’t have the time to do something like this.”

This is where most people learn how to handle objections in network marketing by using the ‘Feel, Felt, Found’ technique. They’ll say, “I know how you feel, I felt the same way at first, but then I found out…” and you just fill in the blank.

Now, this technique is okay, but it’s not how professionals handle objections. I’m sorry to burst anyone’s bubble or offend anyone, but it’s just not. It looks and sounds good on paper, but if we’re going to learn how to handle objections in our network marketing and MLM business, then we’re going to need to step it up a notch.

You believe that you have a lot to offer him/her and you just know that once they hear your presentation, they’ll say yes to going on a date with you. And you respond with, “I know how you feel, I felt the same way at first, but then I found out…

Wait…we wouldn’t really do this, would we? Of course not, it would be ridiculous! But yet, isn’t this how we’re taught how to handle objections in network marketing?

So perhaps now you understand why I said that if we’re going to learn how to handle objections in network marketing, then we’re going to need to ‘up our game’.

Whenever I’m asked how to handle objections in network marketing or how I handle objections personally, my response generally shocks people because my response is usually…”I don’t”.

The truth is I don’t like rejection (and neither do most professionals) and so I’ve chosen to build my business in such a way that I don’t have to deal with rejection anymore. In other words, I’ve discovered a way to build my business rejection-free.
